Chef Suheil and Sofia made breakfast especially enjoyable with their warm, attentive service and friendly manner. There was a good range of delicious food, and dishes were replenished promptly. The housekeeping team also kept my room neat and tidy throughout my stay at Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman. It was clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The location and service were excellent, and I had a memorable visit. Highly recommend it, and I'd be happy to return.

The location is the biggest draw here. Chow Kit station is about a five-minute walk away, making it easy to get around KL. Sogo mall and Quill City Mall are about a 15-minute walk or one train stop away. There are plenty of places to eat, plus a night market opposite the hotel. Nearby, you'll find two ATMs, one at the 24-hour KK Mart and another CIMB, as well as a 7/11 and a shop at the Shell service station for snacks and other things. It's a budget hotel in a fantastic spot for an intrepid traveller. My single room was basic but suited me fine. I just wish it had a window, since the lack of natural light made it dark. Cleanliness was the main letdown during my 10-day stay. They only seemed to do surface cleaning. The bathroom glass divider picked up streaks and soap stains, I doubt the carpet was vacuumed because little threads from my clothes stayed where they fell, and by the end it felt grimy. Table surfaces weren't wiped regularly either, leaving lots of cup rings. I hope they improve the cleaning and attention to detail, because it detracted from what could have been a lovely stay. Service was okay, which makes sense with so few staff. I had two heavy suitcases on arrival and had to ask for help getting them to my room because there are no porters. I booked through booking.com and check-in was seamless. The hotel has 25 floors and three lifts, but only two were working during my stay, so waits to get to your room could be long. I didn't book breakfast, so I can't comment on that. I had dinner at the restaurant in Hilton North on my first night. The food was okay, though 35rm for nasi lemak felt a bit pricey. I also went to the rooftop bar once. The views were amazing, but drinks were somewhat expensive.

Sofea kept breakfast well-stocked even when it was busy, and the spread had a nice mix of local and international food. The coffee was excellent too. The gym was well-maintained, and the location was convenient for landmarks while still quiet at night. My room at Hilton Garden was spacious, clean and had what I needed, including a comfortable bed, good shower pressure, blackout curtains and a little desk that was handy for work. Staff were welcoming and professional from arrival, check-in was quick, and I got a welcome drink, which was a nice touch. The air conditioning stayed a bit warm even though I'd set it to 16 °c. Still, it was good value for money and I'd stay again.

Sofea was especially helpful at breakfast, friendly and attentive, and made the morning meal more pleasant. Everyone from reception to housekeeping and F&B was welcoming and ready to help. The hotel was comfortable, breakfast was delicious 😋, and I'd recommend staying here.
