Hotel Raja Bot

The hotel grounds were filthy, with rubbish all over, overflowing bins, rats, and a smell that made me feel disgusted. The room wasn't much better. The air conditioner was dirty and seemed to have an unchanged filter, so the room felt hot. There was what looked like moss on the bathroom floor and walls. I had plenty of complaints, but cleanliness was the main one. I kept wondering why I'd chosen to stay here.

The staff were friendly, and they let us leave our luggage there for free after checkout. The rooms are basic and ours had no windows, so there was a bit of a musty smell, though the air conditioning made it manageable. We felt safe despite the area being less than ideal and close to a public market. It's an inexpensive, central hotel with good public bus access and nice Malay restaurants around the corner. Finding breakfast nearby during Ramadan was difficult. Recommended for budget travellers in KL.

The room was quite nice, but I didn't like the hotel's location or the dirty surroundings. I was polite to reception, yet they were rude. They seem to react badly to any complaint or trouble, even when it's something simple. I thanked them and tried not to make a fuss, but the receptionist stayed rude and muttered things as if I couldn't hear.

It's in the middle of the city, near kampung baru, the old town. You can walk to lots of restaurants, including Malaysian Arabs, and there are many wholesale dealers selling packing stuff.
