Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur Bukit Jalil

The room was clean and comfortable, and the room and washroom had more than enough amenities. We liked that there were plenty of hangers in the wardrobe and none were broken. Check-in was smooth and pleasant, and the location worked well for staying in this area, with Subang Airport not too far away. Pavilion mall is a short walk and there are lots of eateries and waterholes around. A big thanks to Joshua at the front desk for his great disposition. Recommended.

I paid RM1,800 for six nights but left after two because the room felt damp and wet, the air circulation was poor, and there was no hot water. The windows were high up, which made the room feel claustrophobic. The place was clean and the staff were helpful, and I liked the coffee machine, but breakfast was chaotic. The cups were all small, hot chocolate took ages, and several items were missing, including tomatoes, olives with cheese, hash browns or potatoes, and bananas. The toaster only toasted one side, and what was presented as baked beans was chickpeas. Some parts of the stay were good, and there may be a nice food selection for other guests, but for the service we received, it felt like a two-star experience. I really felt cheated.

The staff at Kuangs were attentive and friendly all evening. Thanks to Ruban, Gopi, Kelvin, and Gloria for looking after us so well. I also loved the buffet, especially the fresh chilled prawns and the sliced beef, which was juicy, tender, and cooked just right. The Robin Baskin 31 dessert became a favorite too, so save room for it. I'd happily return.

The room was lovely, clean, spacious enough for two, and had a nice feel to it. The bathroom was especially large and well kept. We arrived at 9:30 AM after an early flight, and the front desk staff were kind and understanding about how tired we were. They kindly let us check in early. Breakfast was the disappointing part. The noodles were soggy, the omelet undercooked, the bread pudding dry, and the sausages hard. Staff clearing tables were also rather noisy and not very careful. I thought the in-house mini-shop could offer more variety. Since the hotel is handy for concerts at Stadium Bukit Jalil and Axiata Arena, it would help if Level 1 Starbucks stayed open 24 hours on event weekends. Going out late after a concert can feel unsafe for women. Another option would be stocking hot drinks and fresh bread in the mini-shop for guests coming back late. It was an impressive stay in most other ways, and I hope the suggestions are useful.
