OYO 116 Hotel Grand Mutiara

The room smelled bad, and there was no privacy because the curtain didn’t fit and people outside could see in. The toilet was clogged, its flush was broken, and water was leaking from the ceiling onto the toilet bowl. The shower pipe was broken too. Someone played badminton until 11.30pm, and with no soundproofing I could hear people talking even with the door and windows shut.

I regret staying at Grand Mutiara Hotel and wouldn’t recommend it. The money wasn’t worth the stay, and I expected the hotel to create a bit of ambience for guests. Instead, it was poorly managed and maintained. The bedsheet, pillow and floor were especially unclean, the water heater leaked, and staff weren’t friendly or very responsive to our questions. Owners should monitor these responses and take appropriate action instead of just replying positively to messages.

Good location, friendly service, and the room was clean.

The door lock was broken, the water heater didn’t work, and the towel was torn. Dust covered the lamp, there were hairs all over the floor, and the bedsheet was stained. The blanket had burn marks, as if someone had smoked in the room. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Don’t book it.
