OYO 279 Orange Premier Hotel

I made an honest mistake booking through Agoda, choosing the wrong date, and noticed less than five minutes after confirming. I contacted Agoda straight away, then tried the hotel by phone and in person to ask for a date change or cancellation. The management wouldn't make any adjustment or offer a cancellation, even though I acted quickly to sort it out. The manager's refusal to be flexible felt very unreasonable. I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service. I can't recommend staying here, and I won't book this hotel again.

I stayed for one night. The hotel was very clean, with a water dispenser and bottles of water in the room. There's no lift, just stairs. The staff were helpful and explained the parking setup: spaces are in a shop lot, so you can only park there when the shops are closed, and even then it's down to luck. The location is good, with a restaurant next door as well as 7/11 and KK Mart.

The twin bed mattress was so comfortable that I overslept the first morning, and the big modern LG TV was great for movie nights. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Parking in front is free, or if that's full, you can use the basement for RM5/entry. The bathroom tiles had soap scum all over them, and one bed's blanket and sheet had red stains. There's no wardrobe or hangers, so I had to make do with the hooks in the room. No kettle either. The water dispenser is by the lobby, which means walking down and back up the stairs if your room is on the first or second floor. Fine for a short stay of no more than two nights if you're able-bodied. I don't think it's suitable for families with small children or elderly people.

I was there with friends and turned on the TV to watch Netflix. Then it started moving by itself, as if someone else had control of it. Somehow, that person searched for a porn website. We switched the TV off right away, huhu.
