Hotel Trillium

The room price was pretty reasonable, and I was satisfied with the stay. The only thing that didn’t quite suit me was the room size.

The area is convenient, with plenty of restaurants, 7eleven, family mart, clinics, and a bank nearby. Parking at the hotel is limited, and even after telling the staff you want a hotel spot, you have to move the cement cone yourself. The bathroom looked clean and new, with good shower pressure and reliable hot water, and there was a hair dryer. The room was spacious, but the bed wasn’t comfortable, the furniture was old, and the air smelled dusty. The hotel and lobby felt dim and gloomy, and the lift light was dim too. No deposit was needed at check-in. Staff gave us the air-conditioner and TV remotes. There were no basic supplies: no mineral water, kettle, tissues, tea or coffee, shampoo, hand wash, wardrobe, toothpaste, toothbrush, or comb. There was no coffee or water machine, only one TV channel, poor sound insulation, and no hotel WiFi.

The stay was great and affordable, and finding food nearby was easy. The receptionist was super friendly, and early check-in is possible if you call ahead to let them know. Just one small issue: I could hear the shower running in the neighboring room. My room had a glass toilet wall, so you couldn’t see inside, but you could see someone’s shadow.

A good budget hotel, with clean rooms and bathrooms, friendly staff, plenty of parking, and restaurants and shops close by. Remember to bring RM100 for the check-in deposit. It’s returned when you check out.
