KT Beach Resort

The location made this stay easy: the resort is in the town center, with popular places to eat within walking distance. A mall is across the road, with a 7-Eleven café just outside for snacks and essentials, and a 24-hour dobi nearby for laundry. We booked a family room through Agoda at the last minute for 11-12 October 2024. There were still plenty of rooms, which was a relief. I called to confirm, but reception said we had to come in person to check. The staff were very friendly, and the resort offers a one-day touring package if you ask about it. Our room was roomy, with a queen bed and two singles, which worked well for a family. The building does show its age, with some cracked ceilings and peeling paint, but nothing spooky. Facilities were basic but complete: a water heater, kettle, cups, towels, wardrobe, and a working TV with a few channels. A convenient, comfortable choice if you want to be near town amenities.

The bed was large and super comfy, and parking is available for hotel guests. The location is very good, with KTCC across the road and Jambatan Angkut nearby. The room facilities are fine for a 2 star hotel.

The beach is there too! My family often stays here for 2-4 days when we balik kampung in Terengganu, and it's our go-to resort for comfort. There are plenty of local Terengganu foods around the corner, plus several non-halal restaurants right in front of the resort. Restaurant Ocean is my personal favorite for dinner with my family. The spot is really strategic: KTCC mall is a couple of streets away, Mayang Mall is about a 10-minute stroll, and there are lots of other places to explore nearby. The staff are friendly and give good customer service.

The shower room had a cockroach smell, and the air conditioning seemed poorly maintained. When I cleaned the air-conditioner filter because the room wasn't cooling, I noticed a lot of dust on top of the wardrobe. I was just trying to help get the room cool. It's okay overall, but maintenance needs improvement.
