The Langit Duyong Marina Resort

The hotel is still being renovated, and cleanliness could be better. Aside from that, everything else was great. It’s well located near town, the scenery is superb, and we all had a pleasant stay.

The room problems were the hardest part of our stay. One room kept losing power, and the toilet clogged several times, so I had to call management repeatedly. When the electricity went out again on our last morning, I asked to stay until 3PM in that room only, since checkout was at 12PM. They initially wanted RM100 extra, and I had to argue before they waived it, even after all the trouble we'd had. The cleanliness was poor too. The comforter had stains that looked like blood, and the toilet wasn't clean. I'll attach photos. At check-in, they required a RM100 deposit per room. I don't object to deposits, but they only took cash or online transfer, with no card terminal for credit or debit cards. That was really inconvenient and felt unprofessional. Then on 27 May at about 6:46PM, staff were fogging for mosquitoes right beside the pool and kids' pool while many guests, including children, were swimming. Smoke was everywhere and nobody had warned us. They should let guests know ahead of time or do it when families aren't using the pools. With the poor maintenance, cleanliness, and handling of problems, this was a very disappointing and frustrating stay. It wasn't worth it, and I wouldn't return.

We had a relaxing stay, and the staff were helpful. The rooms are nice, though the hot water sometimes didn't work. The gym, mini mart, and other shared facilities could use an upgrade.

The breakfast buffet was a bit disappointing compared with my previous stay at marina duyong. Still, the hospitality was very good, and the atmosphere was nice. The room had also been updated with modern, comfortable decor.
