We used the Premiere Deluxe Suite for a small conference and workshop, and its size made that easy. There was room for 16 people to work comfortably, with space to split into groups. It had two bathrooms, a kitchen, a separate bedroom, a table for 10, and another for six. It cost about $250 USD a night. The hotel is south of town and close to the airport, and breakfast was excellent. The beds felt a little too soft for me, though I prefer a firm bed. The elevator setup was the biggest frustration: the card was meant to work for just one floor, sometimes failed even there, and you might end up sharing with someone whose card worked.

We were there for our annual dinner. The hotel looks great, with a modern, contemporary design from the outside through the lobby and bedrooms, even the bathrooms look classy. The staff were friendly. When I called about a faulty TV remote, a technician came and fixed it in under 10 minutes. A taxi ride to the airport or the nearest shopping centre takes about 15 minutes. There are several kinds of electrical sockets in the bedroom, including USB and PC monitor connections. Wi-Fi is free in the lobby. I wasn't keen on having to use a key card for the elevator.

The room looks good and feels well made, with reasonable rates for this class. The location is handy beside Kuching International Airport, with busy commercial areas all around. Pubs, bistros, cafes, restaurants, convenience stores, a massage parlour, banks and ATMs are all within walking distance. Breakfast was just so-so.

A bad experience with the service spoiled what could have been a great treat in Kuching. I complained at the front desk, sent a complaint letter, and emailed as well, but after two weeks I still hadn't received any response.
