The owners were so lovely and accommodating, and really did their best to make everyone feel welcome. When you have a trip in mind, they’ll help find more people to join, so it costs less and you don’t have to go alone. The beds were huge, clean, cozy, and super comfortable. The whole hostel is well maintained and has a warm, homey feel. I absolutely loved everything about my stay and would definitely recommend it! 👌🏼

The rooms are clean and well kept, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, so it was a comfortable stay. The owner is very friendly, takes a real interest in guests, and is always happy to help with activities around Kuching. It’s a warm, welcoming place that feels like more than just a hostel. Highly recommended if you’re staying in Kuching.

I’d stay here again. The rooms were nice and relaxing, and the whole place had a laid-back, homey feel. I was at Marco Polo Guesthouse for 3 nights after arriving in Kuching at the end of Dec '24 to see the city and explore Bako and Santubong. Sam was super welcoming from the start, asked about my plans, and helped me make the most of them. Sam is the man! 🙂

The basic rooms and sanitary facilities were made up for by the memories we made. We had long, pleasant conversations with the other people staying at Marco polo hostel, and Selda and the owner gave us lots of useful information about what to do around Kuching. It’s been the best stay of our trip to borneo so far. We enjoyed Marco Polos hostel so much that we extended our stay twice. :)
