Bring food along and cook there, it gives you more time to enjoy the place. The house has the basics you need, and there’s a friendly resident cat and dog who are always up for playing. The sunset and sunrise views are lovely. Just watch out for snakes coming from the nearby palm estate. It’s a great spot to unwind and do very little.

The house and its view are lovely, and the caretaker was warm, but calling this a farmstay feels inaccurate. Homestay fits better: there were no guided activities or animals to feed, and the Wi-Fi kept cutting out. There’s also a policy of charging extra for additional guests, even though the house had enough beds for everyone. My deposit wasn’t returned promptly.

The house itself was really nice, with two bedrooms and a huge kitchen, but the owner made the stay difficult. He wanted payment by person and by hour, and asked exactly how many people would use the facilities and for how long. If you’re thinking of having visitors, I’d look for somewhere else.

It feels very much like the countryside, even though it’s only about a 1.5-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. There are two chalets, plenty of trees, a pond, and cattle grazing in an open field. A peaceful spot for a weekend.

The ground staff were supportive and quick to respond, which was very different from the booking process. There was missing information on booking.com, the host replied slowly, and the replies weren’t friendly. EN FAIZ, please change your attitude. Your father has a great, unique place, so please manage it accordingly.
