Delta Chenang Resort

The outside looks shabby, but open the door and the room feels so new, spacious, big, and clean, with basic amenities. It’s very convenient to have direct access to the beach. Bring a mat or kerusi lipat and you can enjoy the sunset.

The location is right by the beach, and since it’s at the end of Pantai Cenang, it’s less crowded. We stayed at Delta for two nights and found the room clean and looking new, maybe recently renovated. From outside, the hotel doesn’t look impressive, so the room was a pleasant surprise. Our family room had plenty of space, though the toilet was quite small and the tiny sink wasn’t convenient for washing our faces. Breakfast was simple, which was fine for what we paid. One morning there was nasi lemak with cake, Koko Krunch, and bread with three spreads. The next day, fried noodles and porridge took the place of the nasi lemak. We had a good stay and would return.

We stayed for 3D2N on a business trip, and I brought my wife and three kids. Move Apps gave us a price of RM49X++/night, and we were happy with our choice. The staff were polite, friendly, and always willing to help. The beach and Chenang Square are just a short walk away, which made meals and activities easy. Our Family Suite had a queen bed and two singles. It was spacious and clean, with separate sleeping areas that gave the parents and kids good privacy. The bathroom felt a bit small. Since the resort is close to the beach, ants can show up, so don’t leave food out in the room. Breakfast was simple with limited choices, but enough for a quick start to the day. It was a pleasant stay.

The reception, F&B, and housekeeping staff were all friendly, helpful, and polite. We stayed in the CABIN COUPLE(seaview) for 2night, but the room wasn’t well maintained. The zinc materials were severely rusted, which could injure guests and may mean the structure is weak or unsafe if it isn’t dealt with promptly. The water heater was also very slow, and hot water ran for only a few minutes before cutting off.
