It's a simple, unpretentious place, with a comfortable bed, decent WiFi, a small shower room and reasonable air-con helped along by a fan. The main reason I'd recommend it is the location: Kuah Jetty is a 15-minute walk away, handy for an early ferry. Beyond that, I wouldn't recommend it for other reasons.

A good low-budget place, within walking distance of the jetty and with parking spaces at the motel. The room was clean and nice, and the bathroom was well kept. The air conditioner and TV, though, weren't maintained very well.

The street outside the Rose Inn was possibly the worst I've seen in Langkawi, with rubbish everywhere, and the motel grounds could use a clean-up too. Inside, the room was adequate, the bed comfortable and the air conditioning worked properly. The host was very friendly.

For a simple stay at this price, I couldn't ask for more. The room was basic but clean, the bed comfortable and the AC worked great. It's about a 15-minute walk from the ferry, near food places and a money exchange. Hospitality was great, too. I'd recommend it.

At 57RM a night all in, it's good value for Langkawi, which costs more than many places in SE Asia. The service was friendly, and it's close to a supermarket, the ferry and a laundrette. Just keep in mind it's a real budget place: the air-con didn't work, WiFi didn't reach the room, and the furnishings had seen better days.
