Check-in and check-out were easy, the staff were polite, and we weren't asked for a deposit. Our room was clean and had two large beds. No geckos or insects showed up, though there were mosquitoes, which is normal. There's no breakfast, and I couldn't understand why they charged Langkawi tax at check-in. The location keeps you away from main-street noise while still being close to it. The pool was decent, but could use a better clean, and the view is spoiled by nearby construction. The grounds could use maintenance and fencing, and that huge warning and penalty sign across from the sunbeds felt unnecessary. The rooms are a bit dated and could be modernized. I'd still recommend the hotel.

I booked Sri Embun Resort through Agoda, and the charges were reasonable. If you're Indian, though, keep in mind that nobody entertains you; apparently the colorful piece of paper you carry can carry weight if you're on the bright side texture. They may let you into a room before check-in if one is empty. Otherwise, you can leave your luggage and go around. Our room was neat and clean, drinking water was free, and the stay was comfortable.

The staff were friendly and professional, and room service came every day. My wife and I spent about four days here. Cenang Beach is a great seven-minute walk away, and the airport is about 30 minutes by car. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Langkawi.

The rooms are spacious and have everything you might need for a stay in Langkawi. The staff were amazing, and you can walk to both the beach and main street.

I chose this place because of the ratings here, and that turned out well. We had a comfortable, very good stay. We also booked a mangrove tour through the property, at the best rate we found compared with the market, with pick-up and drop-off included. Highly recommend!
