St Regis Langkawi

The food was excellent, and the view and beach were stunning, giving the stay a wonderfully peaceful feel. I had an exceptionally spacious, beautifully appointed room that felt luxurious and comfortable. Every team member was warm and attentive, and they greeted me by name whenever we crossed paths, which made the service feel personal and memorable. One of the best resorts in Langkawi, and a stay I’d highly recommend.

With only around 80 rooms, the hotel never felt crowded, and we often felt as if we had a palace to ourselves. It was our first visit to Malaysia and Langkawi, and we hope to come back and stay at the St Regis again. The staff made a point of greeting us by name and remembering what we liked and didn’t like. Our butler service was fantastic, with tea and coffee brought to the room up to four times a day and four items pressed or ironed daily. Breakfast was beautifully prepared, with Malaysian, Asian, Arabic and European choices, and the staff remembered our names and breakfast favourites. We were half board and often ate by the beach at pantai grill, where the service and courtesy were exceptional. We also had amazing food and unbelievable service at kayuputi. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, thoughtfully designed and beautifully appointed. The pool was huge and a lovely temperature. We enjoyed walking the grounds and taking the beachside path to the Westin hotel, part of the same Marriott group, each evening. The hotel’s fixtures, fittings and decorative pieces showed incredible attention to detail.

We spent the last nine days in the water and had a lovely time. The hotel and room were beautiful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed seeing the monkeys around the resort, and the breakfast buffet was incredible. We found the overwater restaurant portions small for the price, though. We also went to the tide and breeze restaurant at the Westin, and both were incredible.

The food was delicious throughout, with plenty of variety and good quality across the restaurants. The hotel is beautifully designed, elegant and peaceful, and the calm, picturesque beach was lovely for relaxing and watching sunsets. My wife and I spent ten wonderful days here for our honeymoon. The staff were friendly, attentive and clearly cared about making our stay memorable. We’d especially like to thank Safuan, Shahdini, Nazz, Niko, Prem, Am and Dil for going above and beyond. We couldn’t have picked a better honeymoon spot and would love to come back. Thank you to the whole St. Regis Langkawi team.
