The location is great, reception service was good, and I found the room clean. The bed was comfortable and the air con worked well. The pool was nice, though there was no furniture. The hotel was probably the most luxurious around when it opened in the 1980s, but it’s sadly now in disrepair and needs investment and some care. The rooms are old, and the fittings are worn out.

For your attention, Room Teratai 2-5 urgently needs the bathroom sink leak checked. The electric kettle is leaking too, and may no longer be safe to use. Sorry to leave this comment, I hope it helps with improvements. Otherwise it was okay, and the price was suitable.

Teluk Batik is about a five-minute walk from the beach. Better than PD, and from KL I’d choose Teluk Batik over PD. It gets jammed. Take the old Kuala Selangor road, the new toll is rm4.00.

I booked the junior family room because the beach is close enough to walk to. The photos set a better impression than the place did. All the equipment looked old and hadn’t been repaired or maintained. The bathroom was rough: the very old bathtub drained slowly, and the shower water came out at a trickle. The bed and sheets were old too, and the pillows had turned yellow. The pool table and bar looked run down with cobwebs everywhere, while the toilet was dirty and smelly. The swimming pool looked okay, but after watching it for a while, I got the impression nobody was cleaning it and they were just adding fresh water.

The location’s good and the service was great, but my room suddenly lost electricity. They moved me to another one, where the TV was ancient. Still, at least it was fairly clean.
