906 Hotel Melaka Raya

I paid RM148 per day and was really disappointed. The air-con cover was broken, so I couldn’t control the cooling, and the shower wasn’t working properly. When I told reception, the person in charge responded irresponsibly. There’s so much customer feedback, but still no improvement at hotel 906.

There’s plenty of parking. The rooms are just fine for a one-star hotel, but not very clean, and there was no remote for the TV or air-conditioner. I booked through agoda, and after checkout they marked the booking as a no-show and canceled it. They also asked for an RM50 deposit. It felt like they were trying to charge me twice.

There’s lots of public roadside parking, and the room was clean, though it wasn’t properly maintained. I was traveling for work and mainly needed somewhere budget-friendly, nearby, and easy to get to facilities, restaurants, and a bank. If you’re not too fussy, it’s manageable for a short trip.

Three huge live cockroaches greeted us, and there was no parking. The toilet wall and floor were stained and looked like they’d never been cleaned, plus there was a weird smell from the toilet. I told the receptionist, but nothing changed. Even for a budget hotel, that was too much. I’ve stayed in plenty of budget hotels, and this was the worst. Definitely no more 906 hotel for me.
