De Villa Courtyard

We booked the entire villa for one night with 12 adults and 9 children. It was worth the price.

We had booked through airbnb for a family gathering during eidul adha, with nine adults and seven children. They gave us seven basic, antique-themed rooms, which was more than enough. Getting to the rooms meant walking through the owner’s cafe, which stays open until 6.30 pm. Taking all our bags through the customers was a real hassle, and the entrance should be separate. There was no lounge where we could spend time together, so we ended up in an uncomfortable courtyard. The pool was a good size, but there was only one pool and no kiddy pool. Its floor was covered in disgusting mold, and people in the cafe could see it, so there was no privacy. The room amenities were basic, just towels and toiletries. There was no coffee or tea, and when we asked, they insisted we buy coffee at the cafe. We also couldn’t use a fridge. The owner refused to let us keep our cakes in the cafe fridge. We barely took pictures because the place was so disappointing and not what we expected. This is more suited to couples, tourists, or friends. For a private family gathering, it’s totally unsuitable. We do not recommend it at all.

Staying in this old mansion feels like living in history. I loved the swimming pool, which was clean and well kept.
