The staff are nice, and there are Chinese restaurants around the area that get busy early with people looking for breakfast. There’s a 7Eleven across the street and a Petronas gas station beside the hotel. It’s in the urban area of Kampung Lapan/Kesidang, close to Tengkera and Klebang on the west, and not far from Melaka Sentral. Formosa Hotel is a low-budget place that’s fine if all you need is somewhere to sleep. For RM90, you get a nice queen-size bed and hot shower. If you’re after a bed with roses, pay more for a 4 stars hotel. Just check the extra charges for tax and deposit before paying.

Some things in the room already had problems, but they weren't replaced. The Wi-Fi wasn't very strong, and there was no Astro TV.

The Wi-Fi was really slow, and there was no signal in the bedrooms. I told reception, but nothing was done about it. The service was bad. 👎🏻

The staff were very lazy, and the place was dirty, with no cleaning or service. Nothing there seemed right, though he was very expressive.

The washroom wasn't good, and there wasn't enough wardrobe space. The rooms are very old.
