Gingerflower Boutique Hotel

The house was huge, and the photos don't show how good it really is. Everything was great and better than I expected. One small thing, a bigger parking sign would help people arriving by car. We missed the spot twice. I'd stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks for a wonderful visit.

We loved our stay at Gingerflower Boutique Hotel in Malacca. The interiors are charming, with beautifully designed rooms and the cutest little courtyards inside. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout. It's just a short walk from Jonker Street and most of Malacca's main sights, which was the best part for us. Our room was compact but had all the essentials. There isn't much floor space if you're bringing large suitcases. The hotel has two floors and no lift, though that wasn't a problem for us with just hand-carry bags. Worth bearing in mind if you have heavier luggage. There are only two free parking spaces, available first come, first served. A paid open-air car park is conveniently just behind the hotel. We really enjoyed staying here and would recommend it to anyone visiting Malacca.

We arrived at 1.30pm planning to leave our luggage at reception, but the staff checked our booking confirmation and offered us an early check-in. We'd barely slept and really needed to wash up, so that made the start of our trip much more pleasant. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and the hotel provides parking, though spaces are limited, so it's best to arrive early. The room was a little small, but worked well for our small family. It and the bathroom were clean, and the bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get up. The location is really convenient. We loved the hotel and will come back again. Thanks for the great hospitality and for making our trip memorable.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean. The shower water could have been hotter, though. The location is great, with Jongker Street just one block away. Some rooms may not have windows, and parking is limited, but for the price I found it worthwhile.
