Hatten Place Melaka

The location and price are great, and I slept comfortably with the pillow I picked from their pillow menu. Staff were top notch too. The hot water could have been hotter, though, and driving up six floors in the car park without a break was a bit dizzying.

I’ve stayed here three times in three months and would happily recommend it to other travellers. The Superior Room with King Bed was especially comfortable. The hotel has a fresh, updated design, and I really liked the breakfast spread in the Level 12 dining area.

The room was quite small, and it wasn’t ready when I checked in. I called reception and the duty manager came to help arrange another room. I’ve forgotten your name, but I still remember your face. Thanks for being so kind. The food was just so-so for me, though there are other choices. I also got free access to Skydeck. I hope they improve the soundproofing, because noise from the corridor and other rooms kept me from sleeping that evening.

Staff at both reception and the restaurant were nice with guests, and I enjoyed an early breakfast. The rooms were clean and a good size for two, with a lovely view over the Straits of Malacca. It’s a quiet place that suits families, couples, people working, or travellers. The nearby tourist spots aren’t within walking distance, so you’ll need to drive.
