I'm a regular at Semabok Inn, which was taken over by Zamburger because of Covid. Almost nothing seems to have changed, apart from the main signboard and a few no-smoking signs inside. Even the WiFi name is still SemabokInn 🤦. It's a very budget hotel with the basic things, but MYR100 on a special rate isn't worth it. Budget shouldn't mean the items in the room are damaged. The toilet door in the room I stayed in couldn't be locked. Location ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Staff friendliness ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Room function ⭐⭐⭐ Cleanings / Hygiene ⭐⭐ Would I return? It depends on the room rate.

For a budget hotel, 150 feels pretty expensive. I booked a room with a double bed and a single bed for my family, and it cost 150 plus a deposit. That's quite pricey, and at the same rate I'd be better off looking for a 3-star hotel.

The outside of the building looks a bit old, but inside the hotel was well kept. I found it really comfortable during my stay.
