Lavender Green Home

This was the most unwelcome, disappointing homestay I’ve booked. We were running late and had emailed Agoda beforehand, but when we arrived we were kicked out and had to find another hotel for the night. The next afternoon we came back to check in and shower, with a friend just there to accompany us. An older Japanese man came in and shouted at us without warning. We called the owner and spoke politely, hoping to discuss it face to face, but he refused to come and insulted us as bad customers. What kind of attitude is that? We didn’t even ask for a refund. I wouldn’t advise anyone to book here. The place wasn’t good, the service was awful, and the staff weren’t friendly or helpful. The worst.

A Japanese man pushed my friend and kicked us out of the hostel. We weren’t allowed to check in, even though we’d emailed to say we’d arrive late and got no response. He was rude and hostile. It was an awful experience, and I’m never coming back.

We arrived late after giving notice, but the night caretaker wouldn’t let us in. We’d booked through AGODA, though Agoda couldn’t help us either. We checked in the next day and returned in the afternoon. A Japanese man who apparently lives there scolded our friend for forgetting to take off his shoes, then shoved my friends and blocked their way. He yelled at us in Japanese. It was very upsetting.

We checked in last weekend, and an older Japanese man came to the homestay shouting at us. He didn’t speak English. When we called the owner, he also scolded and shouted at us. We asked for an explanation and tried to arrange a meeting, but he refused to come discuss it and even rejected our call. The staff attitude and behavior need to improve so guests can have a more peaceful stay.
