Newbridge Hotel

I spent six months there during my internship at a 4-star-hotel near little india. The place felt eerie, like walking into an abandoned building. Most areas were fairly clean because my hostel mates and I had to clean each week on the schedule set by management. The building was supposed to be smoke-free, though some friends often smoked a lot in the rooms. Most rooms sat empty, apart from some used by interns; others held computers, papers, and office things. The air conditioner worked, but management wouldn't let us use it unless we paid extra for electricity. I was fined RM52 for using the air-con for 3 days 😓. Inside, it was depressing, humid, poorly ventilated, and dim. There was no kitchen or cooking equipment, so we heated food and drinks with an electric stove in the room. There was nowhere open to dry clothes, so it's better to use a nearby laundry, like Doby or Happy laundromart. Future interns, bring your own electric cooker and watch out for strange sounds that can happen at any time. Stay calm and look for others nearby. Regards
