The Straits Melaka by Perfect Host

Bedbugs in my room left me with multiple bites and made the stay extremely uncomfortable. When I told the staff, I expected an apology, a room change, or some proper effort to make things right. They showed no concern, said nothing, and gave only a minimal refund. A hotel should care about guests' safety and comfort, and this response was completely unacceptable. Nothing was perfect at all. I won't return and strongly advise others to avoid this hotel.

The price was very affordable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and had a nice view. I'd stay again when I'm in Melaka.

I meant to book "Asia Strait Melaka Hotel" but accidentally booked this one because the name and location were the same. Turns out it's a different hotel, and I kind of felt scammed. There was no receptionist, only contact by WA, and they stopped replying after 18:00. Arriving at night with nobody to help check in would be a nightmare. The floor was sticky, and they provided one nearly empty bottle of body soap, about 10 pumps' worth.

The place was dirty with stains everywhere and water leaking. The balcony door was broken and wouldn't lock. When I reported it, they replied that ‘ nobody will sneak in to your room’…. There was no response beyond repeatedly saying it was out of operation hour. We booked another hotel instead. If you want to ruin your holiday or mood, feel free to book this terrible stay. Calling yourself ‘ Perfect Host’ is shameful.
