Warisan Eco Lodge

The staff were nice, but they seemed careless about the property. It was dirty and poorly maintained. There weren’t any sheets, just a really smelly blanket that seemed like it had never been washed, and the room was so stuffy. Then a large group kept making a lot of noise after midnight.

The new management has made the place much cleaner than before, and the staff are friendly. It has a lovely old baba nyonya house feel, with a spacious garden full of bamboo and plants. Jonker walk is only a 2-minute walk away, and it’s good value for money. There’s a great food court next door, plus restaurants out the back that stay open until 5am!

A peaceful little escape from busy Jonker street, set in a slightly quieter spot. I liked the simple retro design, and the service was great. The owner was very kind and friendly, and patient with tourists.

The lodge is almost 200 years old and sits within walking distance of Jonker Street and the Malacca River Cruise. Finding halal food around here was quite difficult, though.
