My room smelled like cigarette smoke, even though smoking isn’t allowed in the bedroom. The room was okay otherwise, and the air conditioning worked well. There were three plugs. There’s a cafe downstairs, restaurants nearby, a Mamak across the road, and Thai seafood a little farther along. Be careful where you park, since leaving the car under the big tree can mean it’s covered in bird poop by morning.

I had a bad stay because insects, possibly bed bugs, bit me on the chest and shoulders. I hope the hotel gives the place a thorough cleaning.

There’s a Mamak right across from the hotel, open from 7am until late at night, so finding food isn’t an issue. The bathroom was very clean, perhaps because the hotel is still new. The room itself is small, but there’s enough space to sleep comfortably in a queen bed. Because of the limited floor space, Muslims may need to pray on the bed. The qiblat direction is marked on the ceiling.

I was surprised by how clean the room was for a budget hotel, and it was worth the money. I’ve paid more for rooms that were worse. WiFi wasn’t great, which is common at budget places. They should make sure the washroom soap dispenser actually has soap. I was also surprised to find a prayer room. There are plenty of food choices, and shops are only a minute away. I’d definitely stay here again.

The cafe on the ground floor felt comfortable, and I noticed all kinds of customers stopping by for tea. Their layer cake was pretty good. The hotel’s decorations felt unique as soon as I came in, and the promotion rate made the stay inexpensive. The receptionist was very young. In the room, housekeeping could do a bit better because the dust was quite noticeable. There was no coffee or tea provided. After one night, the traffic on the main road was hard to ignore, and vehicle exhaust sounds made the room noisy.
