This is a simple, inexpensive hotel with basic amenities that work well enough for a simple trip. It’s next to a mosque, and my window faced it, but the sound didn’t wake me. Maybe the window seals well. The room was clean, with a kettle, glass jar, black coffee, hair dryer, TV with YouTube, and two mirrors. I didn’t like that one mirror faced the bed. The carpet’s cleanliness is hard to know, and I’d prefer tile. The spacious bathroom had good water pressure, but no toothbrush or toothpaste, which wasn’t an issue since it’s low cost and most people bring their own. There were only three hangers, too few for two people, and the towel was a little old but usable. The elevator starts at the 2md floor and skips the 1st floor where my room was. The ironing board and water dispenser are outside the room. Good location near food and the jonker area, with its own carpark.

This was my second time staying here, and the hotel has continued to meet my expectations. It’s good value, with a competitive price and a convenient spot near major attractions. Jonker Street is walkable, and there are lots of places to eat nearby. Guest parking is available too. I’d recommend it to budget travelers who want a comfortable stay in a strategic location.

The parking was especially frustrating: I thought it would be reserved for hotel guests, but we had to share it with restaurant customers. Inside, the old furniture and stained bedsheet were disappointing, and the bathtub was dirty. The old-fashioned hot shower took 5 minutes to heat up, then the water pressure was so low that bathing took hours. There weren’t even basic things like drinking water or indoor slippers. The carpet was so dirty we had to wear our own slippers in the room. Very disappointing. I’ll never come back!

Jonker Street is within walking distance, and the hotel is low-priced with great service. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable pillows. The bathroom was big and clean, with good water pressure and a heater. The air con worked very well and was quiet. The walls are a bit thin, so I could hear the neighbours talking, but it was very quiet at night. The staff were always smiling and willing to help, whatever the time. I’d come again and recommend it to anyone who isn’t fussy about the interior.

Mr. Aidi handled my late evening check-in with real calm and courtesy. He was efficient, kind, and professional, and made the welcome feel personal. The room was cozy, clean, and spacious, and parking was easy to get to. It was my first time staying here, just for one night, and I had a lovely time. I’ll stay again when I’m back in Malacca. Keep up the great service.
