The cleaner was so-so, though still acceptable, and I didn't expect much there. The sheets were old and yellow. In the first room, the aircon couldn't really be controlled and there was a leak, so I changed rooms. The aircon in the next room was noisy too, and that room smelled. I've stayed at other budget places that weren't this bad.
The only decent thing was that there's an elevator. I paid Rm140 per night for 3 beds, but the room was cramped and dirty, with no furniture at all. No mirror in the room either, just one in the toilet. The corridor smelled of cigarette smoke the whole time, and the room had no window and smelled bad too. The photos on agoda looked decent, so I regret booking it. Worst budget hotel I've been to. Totally not recommended.
I only needed a one-night stay, so at first I tried to ignore the problems. The first room's water heater didn't work, so I moved, but the second room had the same musty smell. They sprayed lots of Freshener and it still smelled musty and felt uncomfortable. The air conditioning was old and made a lot of noise. In the morning, after 7am+, there was noise outside because the sound insulation was so bad. An alarm from one of the rooms kept ringing. Nobody stopped it for half an hour. I went outside to look and it had finally stopped, but 30 minutes later it started again 😓. I paid hoping to sleep and rest, but this hotel definitely wasn't it. No more staying here!!
The price was pretty reasonable, and the hotel is right in the town center, so you can walk to Aeon, Lotus, the laundry, food court and funfair. The room for two was on the Ground Floor, though, and it was noisy. I could hear people talking in the other room and footsteps in the hallway clearly. Aside from that, it was decent. You get what you pay for.
There was a lot of parking, and the hotel is easy to spot once you're nearby. The hard part is finding the way in. Waze or Google Maps will lead you down the wrong road or tell you to turn where you can't. My room wasn't smelly, and I didn't see stains on the walls, floor or beds. The bed was comfortable enough to snore on, the A/C worked and was cold, and the TV had digital channels with almost okay reception. The water heater worked, and damn, it got hot enough to burn skin. There's a surau on the ground floor for Muslim guests, plus wifi, an iron and board, and a water dispenser. I didn't test the wifi speed. They also provide catering if you book it. It was a great stay.
