The room itself was the last straw on my second visit. The towel was ridiculously tiny, the phone and water dispenser didn’t work, and the wall had a crack like it had been through an earthquake. The layout made no sense, the shower space felt smaller than a hamster cage, and even the air conditioner seemed placed to save money instead of cooling the middle of the room. You also have to pay extra to use an iron. There was even a curtain over what looked like a fake window, with no actual window behind it. The first time, the water heater was broken too, but I let that go without complaining. I came back because it’s near UTHM and easier for visiting my sister, and I even paid for a “better” room this time. Still the same nonsense. That’s definitely my last visit. I’d think twice even if it were free. 😤

There wasn’t a bath towel in the room. To iron clothes, you have to go to a machine elsewhere on the floor and put in a 50 sen coin for just a few minutes. Such a hassle. They should switch it to cashless payment.

There’s a Masjid nearby, UTHM is within easy reach, and there are plenty of places to eat around here.

The room was clean, neat and comfortable, with simple amenities and an attached clean bathroom. For a small hotel in town, the rate feels fair. It works well as a place to rest after a full day of work, meetings or events near UTHM, which is close by. There’s lots of free parking in front, and CCTV is in operation. A Coway water station and mineral water are provided. Restaurants are nearby too, with plenty of different food options.

The hallway gets really dark when the motion sensor doesn’t detect anyone and all the lights switch off. That feels dangerous if someone panics. They should put in at least one or two emergency lamps. The water dispenser was broken, though they did provide a kettle that guests have to share.
