Getting to Penang Airport early this morning, the management and staff wished me well and helped carry my luggage from my room to the Grab Car. They treated me politely throughout, and when I asked for a prayer mat, they brought one right away. The room and toilet were clean and comfortable, and the facilities were fine. I stayed for 2 days 1 night on my own because of a meeting at Komtar Penang. The location worked well, near Government Offices, Muslim restaurants, and shopping malls about 5 minutes away. Deen Nasi Kandar, famous in Penang, was about 2 minutes away. The room rate is reasonable. I had a very happy stay and would highly recommend Sun Hotel Georgetown for holidays or business. Thank you to the management and staff, please keep treating guests this well. ❤️Anna❤️

The price is really cheap for a hotel with the basic facilities, and I'd come back. My room had a tiny TV, and the channels were a bit shaky. The hotel only provides soap, but you can get toothpaste at the Giant market next to the building. If you're hungry, there's also a nearby shop to eat at. I liked the bed and toilet, and it's about 10 min from bus terminal Butterworth. A good place for a night.

The room itself is nice, but the corridor stays dark unless you ask reception to turn the lights on. The wifi is terrible. I can't even watch YouTube in 360p, and I use the Internet mostly for work. If the wifi were good for a month, I'd give this place 5 stars.

The receptionist was helpful, but the area felt quite dodgy and there's no lift. The room was very basic, smelled of smoke, and had a tiny shower. The mattress was awful and sagged in the middle.
