The bedside light in my room flickered. When I told the front desk, the staff member, Ms. Chen, refused to give me a clearer name and came across as dismissive and defensive. I wasn’t expecting a room change because the hotel was full, but I did expect a respectful response and some attempt to help. I arrived alone near midnight, and a faulty light was unsettling. Even offering to check whether there was space at , Qliq Damansara in the same building would have shown some care, even if nothing was available. This isn’t about compensation. Guests should be treated with consideration and offered reasonable support when they raise a valid concern. If guests are expected to accept faulty room conditions without any effort to assist, that raises questions about the hotel’s SOPs. The hotel was also hard to find because there wasn’t visible signage, which was stressful arriving late by car. The parking area felt quiet enough to raise safety concerns. I understand this is a budget-friendly place, but safety, clear communication, and working room fixtures are basic expectations. I hope management takes the staff conduct and maintenance concerns seriously. I don’t plan to return, though I hope future guests have a better stay. To clarify after the hotel’s reply, I was traveling alone and had no companion at any point. The housekeeper on duty that night should be able to confirm this. If the hotel suggests otherwise, I ask that it review the relevant CCTV and contact me with what it finds. I’m confident the footage will reflect what happened.

The place felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel, and for what we paid, a 4 or 5 star hotel in KL would have been a better deal. The room was acceptably clean, but the shower water never got hot enough. Noise from neighbors and cleaning came through because the rooms weren’t soundproof. Parking also costs extra. We were there just over 6 hours and paid RM12.

The room was comfortable enough for a short visit, and check-in and check-out went smoothly. It’s close to IKEA Damansara and One Utama shopping mall, so the location is handy and the price was good.

Cleanliness wasn’t great. I was there for one night, and spotted something crawling on the beanbag in the corner. Looking closer, I saw a small cockroach behind it. When I moved the beanbag, two or three more appeared. If it had been a big one, I don’t think I’d have had the nerve to kill it. Who knows how many are hiding in the room.
