This used to be one of my top choices, but after what seems to be a change in management, the place has gone downhill. During our stay, three of the six lifts weren’t working. One person in our group got trapped inside after pressing a button: all the buttons lit up, and the doors only opened again randomly. When we tried to call a lift from our floor, all six appeared to be sitting at ground level until someone took one up. Three of the four rooms we booked had a serious cockroach infestation. They were in the cupboard with plates and bowls, the cutlery drawer, microwave, oven, TV cabinet, sofa, and dining tables. Every few minutes we’d see one on the wall. Staff didn’t seem very helpful and only came on the third morning, after we’d complained twice. Security has changed too. Guards used to check the IC or passport of anyone entering without an access card. Now people can just walk in through the door, which makes you wonder what the card is for.
