De UPTOWN Hotel @ P.J. 222

The reception guy was really friendly and helpful. In the room there were two bottles of water, and there's also a drinking water dispenser. We spent one night here. It's a simple hotel, but our room was clean, the Aircon was cold, and the water pressure was good.

Stayed almost a week. It was quiet and hassle-free, and the front counter service was good. Best place. Just be aware there's no lift, so you have to use the stairs.

For the price, it's worth staying here, and the receptionist is friendly. The soundproofing needs work: I could still hear the phone next door vibrating and ringing. It'd be great if they provided toothbrush kits too.

The front desk staff weren't friendly at all, and didn't even smile when we approached. The nearby "free" karaoke was noisy and quite disgusting. We stayed in room 9003, which has two queen-size beds, but only got one key card for four people. That was inconvenient if some of us wanted to go out while the others slept. There were only two sockets, tucked in a corner far from the beds, so charging while using the phone was awkward. The hot water at the dispenser wasn't available when I wanted it. Cleanliness was good except for a tiny hair on my towel. Slippers, towels, toilet paper, body shampoo, and a hanger were provided. The location is fairly strategic, with a hawker centre, KFC, McD, a pharmacy, and shops within walking distance.
