SOVOTEL Boutique Hotel

The noise made this stay impossible for me. Staff were on speakerphone, watching movies, moving around, and calling to each other loudly across the corridor day and night. Their storage room was right across from mine, too. I barely slept and changed hotels after one night. I couldn't get a refund for the second night, though honestly I'd like to ask for one. The ground-floor room itself was basic, which I could have managed. But the toilet smelled like a public restroom, and that odor spread through the whole room, which had no window.

The power went out for over two hours during the night, and when we checked out there was no compensation. That was the worst part of an already awful stay. The room was filthy, had no window, and smelled strongly of cigarettes. When we arrived, the door was standing open as if someone had been using the room. Staff also showed no basic manners with customers and seemed poorly trained. They charged extra for early check-in, something most hotels don't do. I really wouldn't recommend this place.

The staff and service were really bad. I wouldn't recommend it.

For one night of rest at this price, it was a decent choice. The room was clean, the bathroom was nice, and towels were supplied. The hallway and room had a slight cigarette smell, but it was bearable. I booked a Single Deluxe with two single beds. It was very cramped and there wasn't space to pray, so it isn't suitable for Muslims. The air-conditioner remote was broken, which left the room very cold overnight. There's no kettle or hair dryer, and the only mirror is in the toilet.
