The room had no window, and every time we came back it smelled really bad, even though we hadn't done anything to cause that. An air freshener would help. We were there with a friend for work, and right away saw black shoe marks on the floor between the beds. The carpet was dusty and dirty, and one of the cups still had a lip stain on it, so it hadn't been cleaned properly. Online bookings should say clearly which Sun Inn Hotel the booking is for. We wasted time going around before realizing we were at the wrong branch. If the service and comfort aren't being improved, the prices should be lower. Also, why put a QR code and bank details at the counter if the deposit still has to be paid in cash? A heads-up for the girls: the Mentari area gets quite dark at night, so be careful and don't walk alone.

I ended up needing one more night in Selangor, and the hotels I'd stayed at before were either full or expensive. I came across this one for 90 ringgit and booked on a whim. It was cheap, and I hadn't really read the reviews carefully. I only remembered the score was 7. It's about a 10-minute drive from Sunway hospital, in a lively neighborhood, with a Mcdonald across the road. You can judge the other parts for yourself from the photos.

At least the hot water worked. The bed linen was terribly dirty in all the rooms, and I had to sleep fully dressed, using a towel as a pillow. For that, the price should be at least half as much. They also charged a 10 ringgit service fee and a deposit of one night's rent, 56 ringgit in my case. What was all that for?

The service is great and the room rate is cheap. The aircon leaks, though it still cools the room.

There was no staff at reception, no towels, and no hot water. The hotel mattresses were really dirty, with blood on them.
