The Villas At Sunway

The whole visit was enjoyable, from arrival through checkout, and I’d happily stay again. The room was comfortable, the hotel was very clean, and the facilities and service were all up to a high standard. Aziz made a particularly good first impression when I met him at check-in. He welcomed me warmly, was attentive and courteous, and handled everything professionally. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, memorable stay 😊

Sharing a room turned out to be another shock after the check-in confusion. Once the manager let us in and said we’d been upgraded, another group of guests came knocking because they were also checking into our room. Later, after swimming, I couldn’t get back into the room. My wife had to wait outside holding our sleeping baby while wearing wet clothes as I tried to sort out the key. The trouble started days before our stay. I had booked Sunway Hotel, but they emailed to say the booking was cancelled and another reservation had been made for me at Sunway Resort. On arrival I queued at Sunway Hotel for 20 minutes, which I understood because it was a long holiday. Then I was sent to Sunway Resort, where I waited an hour before they told me the booking was actually at Sunway Hotel. I’d never received an email saying that. There wasn’t even a baby room where we could change our baby’s diaper after waiting so long. When I asked staff for help, they only said there was no place to do it and offered no solution. This was my first stay here and will probably be my last. I’ve never had this kind of problem at a five-star hotel before. I lost an hour and a half just trying to check in. For me, this was the worst hotel stay ever and nowhere near five-star standard.

We had an easy, relaxing family trip here, and the kids could spend hours at the waterpark area beside the separate, quieter adult pool. Sunway Pyramid Mall is just a stone’s throw from the resort, too. Our room was spotless, with fresh towels, comfy beds, and a pleasant clean smell. The lobby smelled lovely as well. Staff were genuinely friendly and took time to explain things about our stay and suggest local places. They let us check in early when we arrived at 1pm, then arranged a late checkout on our last day, which saved us a lot of hassle. Breakfast had loads of tasty choices, including waffles, noodles, fruit and pastries, with options for kids too. It can get busy at peak times, though, and the trays aren’t refilled as quickly as you might expect. Going as soon as it opens or a little later makes it easier to get what you want. Clean, comfortable, and good for a hassle-free trip with kids. We’d definitely come back.

Being able to walk straight into Sunway Pyramid, with plenty of food nearby, made the location a real plus. The pool and shared areas were well looked after, and breakfast had a good range of quality options. The refreshed hotel has modern, spacious rooms that were clean and comfortable. I slept surprisingly well on the excellent bed and pillows. Service stayed warm and professional throughout, and staff were friendly, helpful, and quick with requests. A nice balance of comfort, convenience, and value. I’d return and recommend it for visitors or a staycation.
