Clover Hotel Port Dickson

At RM110, the room seemed fair for a budget stay, with free parking along the road just outside and several places to eat nearby. The air conditioning worked well and the hot water was reliable; the bathroom was decent, about 5/10. The bed was average too, around 5/10, while the sheets didn’t look very clean, maybe 2/10. Fine if all you need is somewhere to shower and sleep, but nothing fancy.

The receptionist was warm and professional, and the hotel’s location made getting around Port Dickson easy. Our room was spacious and very clean, and access around the property was excellent. I was happy with the value, too. It was my first stay at Clover Hotel, and I was thoroughly pleased. The team has done a great job, and other hotel owners could learn from them. I’d choose this as my regular place whenever I’m back in Port Dickson. Highly recommended.

We were left waiting until almost 4.15pm even though check-in was meant to be at 3, because the room still wasn’t ready. We had booked a family room ahead of time, but when we arrived they didn’t have the room we’d reserved. There was no apology or compensation, just rude treatment from staff and management. They even told us to find another hotel if we weren’t happy. The whole stay was stressful and badly handled. They clearly don’t respect customers or manage bookings properly. Never again.

The local food nearby was worth trying, but that was about all I’d recommend. The beach close by isn’t even suitable for swimming. The room bathroom was unbelievably dirty, and the reception bathroom was just as disgusting. It seemed like they might not have staff to clean. The bed was made up properly, though.
