Hotel Seri Malaysia Port Dickson

Being right across from the beach is handy, but crossing the road feels dangerous, so be careful. Only a few rooms are wheelchair friendly. The room itself is a little small, though understandable for an old hotel, and the bathroom is especially cramped. The TV didn't work and the WiFi was just ok. Breakfast was so-so, not great but ok lah.

We had a 3D2N stay, but on the second day our access card stopped working, so we had to go back to the counter and ask what was wrong. It only let us in for 2D1N. The pool was pretty dirty, and I wouldn't advise swimming there. Parking for guests is very limited, and when we asked about our room, they deliberately directed us along the farthest route to get there. I'd booked a family room in October for 4 adults, but at check-in the hotel gave us a room with 3 adult beds. When I raised it with reception, they checked and brought an extra bed, but there was no blanket. That was their mistake, yet they offered no compensation. When I asked, they made it sound like I was the one requesting an extra bed and said extra beds normally come without blankets. The staff were racist toward customers. There was no water dispenser for us to refill our water either. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking in this area.

The only good points were that the hotel is on the beachfront and the front desk staff member was patient. The room was dirty, with bugs in the sheets, spiderwebs, and dust. The toilet wouldn't flush until maintenance came to fix it, and it still had stains, rust, and a smell like dead cockroaches. If your budget is rm250 per room, I highly recommend booking somewhere else.

The price is ok, and it's only 8min 45sec to the bagan lalang beach. Food was ok, maybe 2/5. If you don't care much about comfort and only need somewhere to sleep, this could work, but it felt like a budget apartment and wasn't as comfy as the pictures on Google. The pillow was way too thick. It's an old hotel, but they should improve things and keep up with maintenance. My access card didn't work, so they told me to enter through another room. Anyway, thanks.
