The location was wonderful and the price acceptable, and we enjoyed the pool and bay view. Checkout was easy, and I hope my deposit is returned. We booked Maya Apartment Bayview Vila for one night. The room looked rundown but was acceptably clean. One of the two bathrooms was in good condition, while the other working bathroom still had lots of issues. The bed felt worn, and the cushions looked like hand-me-downs from an old relative. The kitchen was abysmal, with a dysfunctional fridge and a ridiculous assortment of utensils. Only one of the two elevators was working, so we had to queue and take turns. When we got to the room, it felt a bit eerie: the key needed wiggling to work, and the latch looked broken, though luckily it still functioned.

The location is strategic, close to restaurants and shops, and there’s a swimming pool too. The rooms are soundproof, though they look old and need some maintenance and renovation.

We wanted to spend time with family, but the house didn’t meet our expectations. It was full of dust when we walked in, and the toilet was very dirty. We tried to switch houses, but everything else was fully booked. We asked for another round of cleaning, but it still looked the same 🤢

The sea view from the balcony was awesome, especially at sunrise and sunset, and we had lots of fun. But I can only give one star for the service. The house was never cleaned, the floor was a little sticky, and the fan blades were covered in dust. There’s no air conditioning in the living room, the TV remote didn’t work, and there were no toiletries and so many other things missing.

The room wasn’t well maintained, but the front desk staff were helpful and proactive when Agoda suddenly cancelled my booking after we arrived. The location is very strategic, with all kinds of nearby shophouses, plus a convenience store and department stores like Eco Shop and Mr DIY.
