We ended up moving to Glory beach resort3 apartment for just 15 ringgit more, and were much happier there. We’d planned at the last minute, so felt we had little choice, but this stay was painful and wasted our money. Who goes on holiday just to stay locked in their rooms? This felt more like an old folks’ home than a homestay. The floors were dusty and hadn’t been cleaned. The furniture, beds, mattresses, pillows, and sheets all looked like they belonged in an old folks’ home. One bathroom heater didn’t work, and the hall had no air conditioning, despite the owner saying she had already stated that only the three bedrooms had AC. The old sofa had cracked, peeling PVC leather and a span that was too hard to sit on. The owner was rude. The air conditioning wasn’t cooling, so she told us to keep the room doors closed and not to run it when nobody was in the room.
