101 Lake View Hotel Puchong

The customer service was good and the toilet was clean, so it could work for a budget backpacker. Still, there are a lot of things to fix. The place feels more like an inn than a hotel. The lobby was very dirty, there was a bad smell in the room, and I saw a cockroach on the floor. The sockets were bad too, and the overall environment wasn't good.

The counter staff were so nice and friendly 👍👍👍👍👍, and the room itself was clean, with okay air conditioning and a toothbrush provided. The location is handy too, just a short walk from ioi mall puchong, with a number of restaurants nearby. I was confused about the stated 15m² room size. It didn't feel anything like 15m² compared with rooms I've had at other hotels, so maybe it needs measuring again? 😅 The soap smelled a bit odd, and the shower didn't work properly. There wasn't a hair dryer.

The family room was spacious, and there are useful things on each floor like a hot and cold water dispenser and an ironing board. But the beds creaked, and the bathroom door gave no privacy. The staircase felt cramped, partly because a ramp for rolling suitcases had been added, and there is NO ELEVATOR!!! It's near AEON Puchong, though parking is hard to find and is at your own risk. The stay was okay, but I won't come back.

The receptionist was really friendly, and it was quiet enough to get a good nap, even though I could hear the next room showering and going in and out. I have to iron clothes in the corridor. The hotel is handy for Cyberjaya and Puchong. I usually check first because I don't want a smoking smell, so it's best to get a room with a window, for an extra RM10.
