The resort grounds were nice, and the room was clean and pleasant. It cost less than the well-known hotel nearby, and staying with the Mount Kinabalu scenery in the background was worth it.

The cool weather was lovely, even with the sun out. The hotel is one of several tourist buildings here, on a scenic hillside facing Mount Kinabalu, which you can see not far away. A good spot for anyone who enjoys wide views of the mountain.

The Iriz suite with a balcony was right beside reception, and parking was easy. It’s only 2km from pekan kundasang. The road is a bit rough for a few minutes, but still driveable. Inside, the wooden floor carries noise to the other room, so walk gently. There’s no microwave or iron, not many powerpoints for charging, and the TV only gets local channels.

We stayed here during our Sabah trip on October 18, 2023. Mount Kinabalu is visible in the distance, and the hotel was perfect for us. No insects bothered us. My profile picture is from when we were in Sabah.

We were here with four families on a round trip in Malay Borneo. The rooms were nice and the view breathtaking, though breakfast was very simple. Watch out for conferences: they have a large room, or possibly several, and rent the place out for local events. There was lots of noise from music, talking and laughing, in the evening and early morning. The reception didn’t respond to our questions or complaints, and the conference group didn’t lower the volume when we asked.
