Hotel Sri Bernam

We left as soon as we arrived and didn’t stay, which caused a lot of stress and hassle. We were traveling with three elderly people, but our room was on the second floor and there was no lift access, so they couldn’t manage the stairs. The booking app said both “accessible by stair” and “accessible by lift,” without making clear that the particular room we booked had no lift access. That information felt misleading and irresponsible, and the hotel should have been transparent. Guests shouldn’t have to guess or deal with this kind of unclear description. I don’t recommend the hotel, especially for anyone traveling with older people or someone who needs lift access.

A good option for solo travelers, couples, or families. The room and bathroom were completely clean, and the staff were friendly and quick. The room was comfortable and clean too.

Free street parking is available at the moment, and the hotel is right in the town center, which is handy. It’s a basic place and a bit run down, though, and traffic on the main road can make it somewhat noisy at night.

The hospital nearby seems to be the hotel’s main draw. Breakfast can be tricky since many stalls and restaurants are closed, apart from the nearby mamak. The room was decent and had the bare minimum for a budget hotel that felt quite expensive. Hot and cold water is outside the room. I wouldn’t call either the room or bathroom completely clean. Checking in felt awkward. The receptionist and I just looked at each other, with no greeting, and her expression made me wonder what she thought I was there for. She stayed flat and unwelcoming throughout the check-in. I did notice she became cheerful, loud, and energetic when speaking with a male colleague. I wish she’d shown guests that same friendliness and professionalism regardless of who they are.
