My Dream Hotel

The lighting in the room was very dim, and there wasn’t a proper mirror there, just one large mirror in the bathroom, which was inconvenient. The room itself felt quite small despite having a king-size bed. The sheet didn’t fit, so the bed looked untidy, and the mattress was exposed enough to feel itchy and make the stay uncomfortable. The bedding also didn’t seem to match the bed. The blanket looked like a super single turned sideways, with its seam running horizontally instead of vertically as a standard king-size blanket should. Even then it left part of the mattress uncovered. Pulled up to my shoulders, my feet stuck out; pulled down to cover my feet, my shoulders and head were uncovered. I told the staff, but they insisted it was king-size bedding. From my experience, either the hotel is using the wrong size or isn’t willing to fix the problem.

Free parking right outside was great. I stayed in a budget room with a shared bathroom, and both the room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The walls are a little thin, but we had a white noise machine, so it didn’t bother us. The only negative was having to pay for more than one towel. As a couple in a double room, we clearly needed one each, but the extra towel wasn’t included. I’d never experienced that before. It wasn’t a problem for us since we brought our own.

Really comfortable and very neat and clean. The staff were friendly and the service was good. Lurve this place so much.

We’re a family with two kids, and we’ll definitely stay here again on our Sandakan-Sepilok trip!
