We were lucky on the river cruises and saw a herd of elephants with babies, lots of monkeys and birds, and a few crocodiles. The lodge is right on the river, a perfect spot for the cruises. Our double room was great, and we even saw fireflies from the balcony at night. The food was incredible and they handled my allergies very well. The staff were friendly. We stayed as part of a tripadeal tour.

The river cruise was awesome. We spotted proboscis monkey, silver monkey and a crocodile along the Kinabatangan river. The rooms were clean and nice, staff helpful and friendly, and the food was delicious. Kudos to the chef. Highly recommended for nature lovers.

The river cruises are unforgettable, and the food and staff are fantastic. Rizal, the manager, went out of his way to look after us and is a real credit to the organization. We brought our 8 year old and she loved every minute. The accommodation is modern, built within the past year, with new features and air conditioning in every room. It’s sealed well enough that mosquito nets aren’t needed. Right on the river, it’s a beautiful place and exceeded what we expected. We couldn’t recommend it more highly if you’re visiting the Kinabatangan river. Don’t settle for older, second rate accommodation.
