Lighthouse Hotel Semporna

I enjoyed my stay at Lighthouse Hotel, Semporna. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location made it a good place to unwind after a day of activities. My room didn’t have towels at first, so I let the concierge know. They responded promptly and professionally, bringing towels as requested. I appreciated how willing the staff were to listen and act quickly to make guests comfortable. Their hospitality made the stay pleasant, and I’d recommend Lighthouse Hotel to anyone visiting Semporna. I’d happily stay again.

I stayed for three days for my coworker’s wedding. The room had plenty of storage, a small counter, a mini fridge and a nearby sink, plus a vanity next to the bed. The view outside was mostly construction work, but noise wasn’t an issue. In the bathroom there was a shower head, sink, toilet and towel rack. They provided toothbrush and toothpaste, noise-cancelling earbuds, shavers, a comb, shampoo and soap in a tiny bottle. You can ask staff for an iron. The lobby has several seating areas and free breakfast. There are a few restaurants and a nearby shop selling handicrafts for tourists, but I’d say there isn’t much else around.

My room had a free sea view, and the hotel is a nice, cosy place near the jetty with shops and restaurants all around. I’d recommend it to anyone after a convenient, budget-friendly hotel.

The bed was comfortable, and the night shift security guard was friendly. Apart from that, I wouldn’t recommend it. Check-in was bumpy, and we had to leave a deposit that we nearly lost because apparently we were supposed to keep the receipt. There was a lot of noise in the room, with every conversation from the next room audible, and the bathroom design was poor.
