We came in without knowing much about the place, and the staff welcomed us warmly. They let us look over all the facilities before we decided, and everything was clean, even though it gets daily use. We took island cruises for two days. On the last day, we could leave our luggage at the hostel and shower after the activity, which was a real luxury before a 12-hour night bus!

We stayed three nights, and when a glitch in the booking system left part of our reservation missing, the boss sorted it out nicely. The location is great, the place is well maintained, and the boss is thoughtful. There were lots of useful amenities, including breakfast, a washing machine, communal kitchen, hair dryer, and even toothpaste. I appreciate the effort.

For a cheap place to stay while hiding out in messy semporna, this location is hard to beat. Zane, the house man, was outstanding and so helpful. He speaks Malay, English, and mandarin. Breakfast was nice, and the AC and wifi were good.

The breakfast was phenomenal, with noodles, pastries, eggs, and toast. This is honestly one of the best hostels I've stayed in: super-comfy, clean bedding, AC running well 24/7, hot water in the bathrooms, lots of shared space, and free water.

A little backpackers' gem in the city, with clean, spacious rooms and friendly staff. They do a simple breakfast with toast and donuts too.
