I checked in, got the key and opened the room door, and immediately wanted to leave and find somewhere else. Impress Star Hotel at 1757, Jalan Senai Utama 1/2, Taman Senai Utama, 81400 Senai, Johor Darul Ta'zim, Malaysia was a very poor experience for me. I can't really explain it beyond saying that, in my opinion, everything was bad. I wouldn't dare stay there again.

Cheap and not far from the airport. I arrived very late, but the owner had let the front desk know, so I could still check in at 23:20.

I could barely imagine getting through a night here. The place was dusty, dirty and smelled bad. The shower and internet both weren't working, and the towels were tiny and flimsy, more like children's towels. The other reviews I read were right.

I keep coming back for the reasonable rate and a comfortable enough bed, even with several other hotels nearby. It's my usual sleepover spot when I visit my fiancé. The AC works well and the bed is fine for a night's sleep. One concern: some rooms had roaches, especially on the 1st and 2nd floors. That was a while ago, so maybe they've dealt with it since.

The internet didn't work, there was no towel, and the place was dirty. I've stayed in other hotels that cost a bit less and were still cleaner and better.
