Lodge 10 Hotel

My room card stopped working in the middle of the night, and nobody could help us. We waited until morning and went to ask the staff. The staff member called an India girl was rude to customers and said we hadn’t used the card properly, even though the three of us had kept trying to open the door and couldn’t. She didn’t apologize and argued with us. Really disappointing, and I really don’t recommend this place.

The people were friendly and very nice, and the room was clean, fragrant, and not stuffy. The place is conveniently located, with many restaurants nearby. There’s a chuchat in front of the restaurant, so you can just walk a bit to get something to eat. The bathroom was clean and dry, but the towels didn’t smell good and had debris on them. Other than that, everything was okay.

I’ve never had a hotel experience this unpleasant or unprofessional. There was no care, service, or honesty. A two-star hotel might lack facilities, but rude and dishonest staff are unacceptable. My wife was there for a bridal makeup assignment while also undergoing a medical procedure. We were told on the phone that the hotel had a lift, which wasn’t true. Booking there was the customer’s mistake, yes, but things happen, and the booking was made after repeated reminders because of what we’d been told. A cleaner had kindly helped us earlier in the day. At 5.45pm I asked reception for help carrying things, but the receptionist, a fair looking lady wearing a black pottu on her forehead, coldly said there were no helpers after 5pm. She told me, “You look okay to carry things yourself,” although I was visibly limping and have a knee injury. When I explained, she laughed sarcastically and said, “Then you have to figure it out yourself.” Later I saw the same cleaner still working upstairs, so the receptionist had lied. The place doesn’t even feel like a hotel, more like a hostel. There’s no lift, and no helper is provided after 5pm. Where was the empathy, humanity, or even a basic effort to help?

The room was noisy and had a cockroach, the towels were dirty, and the toilet wasn’t clean. Even though I checked in at 10pm for just one night, I still had to pay a RM100 deposit. The M lady receptionist was very rude to customers in the morning. I checked out right away and went to BILIK2M Hotel, which was much better and better value for money.
